Malaysia - Multi-billion Ringgit Mixed Project To Be Developed At Sungai Tebrau
November 16, 2012 A mixed-use high-end commercial and residential development costing billions of ringgit has been planned for Sungai Tebrau in Johor Bahru. Sungai Tebrau in Johor Bahru has been identified as the site of a planned multi-billion ringgit waterfront development that will comprise high-end commercial and residential units. The project, to be located near the Permas Jaya bridge, will also include a new international ferry terminal. The waterfront development is being overseen by Tebrau Teguh Bhd, which said that the project is in its planning stage right now. The company also plans to offer water taxi services connecting Johor Bahru and Singapore, as well as ferry services to nearby Indonesian islands. According to executive vice-chairman Tan Sri Lim Kang Hoo, Tebrau Teguh will commence land reclamation work covering 40.46 ha in 2013.
