Malaysia - Johor Hottest Destination For Property Investment In 2013
December 31, 2012
- International property consultant and speaker Gavin Tee has declared Johor and the Iskandar region to be the hottest real estate investment destination in Malaysia next year.
2013 will go down in history as the year when the Johor Bahru property super cycle begins, said Gavin Tee. By extension, the Iskandar region will also be the hottest place in Malaysia for property investment, he added.
Said the international property consultant and speaker, “Prices there will go all the way to the top, in fact to its highest ever level in history, making Johor Bahru (JB) the hottest property market in Malaysia.”
“JB will then be the whole nation’s focus and its property will remain prime property for years after that,” he added.
With the completion of major projects including EduCity and Legoland – as well as the upcoming Pinewood Studios in 2013 – more people will be increasingly drawn to live, work and play in Iskandar, which is in Johor, said Tee.
“As the capital city of Johor, Johor Bahru would reap the most benefit from the boom in Iskandar, and this is enhanced by its multi-billion ringgit city transformation plans.
“JB and by extension, Iskandar, will then emerge as the hottest place in Malaysia to invest in from 2013.”
Malaysia's closest neighbour, the republic of Singapore, has acknowledged Tee's statements. The country remains the largest foreign investor in Iskandar, with investors actively shifting their projects into the region.
Tee, who is also the Founder and President of SwhengTee Real Estate Investment Club, added that Iskandar, together with Cyberjaya and Greater KL are successful models of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) in the country.
